George Hunt founded this practice in July 1966. The original building, of sectional construction, was the hub of the practice until January of 1998.

1985 a branch clinic was opened at 123 Hyde Road, Woodley, Stockport Cheshire. This branch was opened to serve the already high numbers of clients travelling from that area with their pets.

July 1995 George's son David joined the practice.

November 1996 the practice was dedicated solely to the care of Small Animals, and the design of the new building at Poynton was made specific to the care of Dogs, Cats, and other Small pets.

January 1998, the new clinic provided the most up to date facilities, including an overnight room for duty staff to be on site 24hrs when required. This has allowed an ever-increasing number of procedures to be performed on site without referral.

September 1999 George Hunt retired after 40 years in practice and David became principal.
